CBS

Platform

Every call, on the booking it was about

The CBS phone module puts the call inside dispatch. Local numbers, an inbound menu, calling from the browser, every call recorded, and a searchable log sitting on the booking it was about.

It is an optional module, and most fleets start without it. Dispatch takes phone bookings perfectly well when somebody types them in — this is for when you want to keep the call itself.

What it does

Right now the call is on whichever mobile happened to ring. Nothing is written down, there is no recording, and when a passenger disputes what was agreed there is nothing to check.

A local number where your passengers are

A number in the country your passengers are calling from, answered by your team wherever they sit. Someone landing in the UK thinks twice before ringing a foreign mobile, and a local number is one less reason not to call.

Answer and dial from the browser

The same screen as dispatch, so whoever picks up already has the booking open. No handset on the desk, and no personal mobile becoming the company number by accident.

The call lands in the right place

An inbound menu separates a new booking from a passenger already on the way. The second one is urgent and the first one is not, and one queue for both means the urgent call waits.

Every call recorded

The pickup time somebody agreed on the phone stops being one person’s memory against another’s. It matters most on the calls you never expected to need.

Searchable, and on the job

Calls attach to the booking they were about, so months later you open the job rather than trying to remember a date and a number.

Who it is for

  • Fleets where the company number is somebody’s personal mobile
  • Operators taking bookings from passengers in another country
  • Companies who have had a dispute about what was agreed on a call
  • Fleets with more than one person answering and no record of who said what

Pricing context

The phone system is a module on top of the €199 Dispatch plan, priced monthly plus what you actually spend on calls. Taking bookings by phone and typing them in costs nothing extra and is part of the base plan.

Questions fleet owners ask

Do we need this to take bookings by phone?+

No. A phone booking is typed in once and becomes the same dispatch record as any other, and that is part of the base plan. This module is for keeping the call itself — the number, the recording and the log.

Does it replace our existing phone system?+

It can, and it does not have to. Some fleets move everything across; others keep their office line and use this for the bookings number only. Nothing in dispatch depends on which you choose.

What does it cost?+

A monthly module price plus what you spend on calls, because call minutes are a real cost we pass on rather than average into a flat fee. The current price is on the pricing page.

Is recording every call legal?+

It depends where you and your passengers are, and it is your decision as the operator rather than ours. Most of Europe expects the caller to be told, which is one of the things the inbound menu is for. We give you the tool and the setting; the policy is yours.

Can our drivers be called from it?+

Yes, from the browser, and the call attaches to the job like any other. It also means a dispatcher is not handing their own mobile number to twenty drivers.

What happens to calls out of hours?+

The menu answers and routes them wherever you decide. If you want a person answering at that hour, that is the separate overnight service our operators run, and it is chat-first rather than a phone desk.

We run one or two cars. Is this for us?+

Almost certainly not. A single driver with a mobile is not losing bookings to a missing call log. The free Partner membership is the better route, and it costs nothing.
